FED UP CAMPAIGN RECEIVES AWARD

The GUN CRIME.MAX TIME. FED UP. ad campaign, an Operation: Safe Community initiative, was recognized by the 39th Annual Telly Awards honoring excellence in video and television across all screens. The Memphis Shelby Crime Commission through its Operation: Safe Community initiative has served as a co-sponsor for an outstanding communications campaign. The campaign, created by TRUST Marketing, Inc., is an effective effort to communicate to the street level the consequences of committing a gun crime – with the ultimate goal of changing behavior.

The Crime Commission submitted the video along with an application to the First Tennessee Foundation’s “25 Years of Giving Video Competition.” Up to $250,000 will be invested back into several mid-south communities to continue their good work. The grants range from $5,000 to $25,000 to the winning participants. Public voting will begin on August 15 and conclude on August 31, 2018.
